Duties and Responsibilities of the Accountant

  1. Heads the Accounts section and reports to the Coordinators (Financial Administrator)
  2. Handles Financial Management and planning
  3. Keeping all records of Receipts and Payments, and keep proper books of Accounts, and preparation of Financial reports - quarterly, semi annually and annually.
  4. Preparation of Payroll and payment of salaries and wages.
  5. Develop a simple but accurate Financial Administration System which fulfills the necessities of the programme as well as national and international standards.
  6. Recommend to the Coordinator a sound Internal Control System.
  7. Budgetting and budgetory controll in collaboration with the Coordinator.
  8. Keeping records of Fixed assets including a Fixed Assets Register.
  9. Cooperate with both Internal and External Auditors and ensure that Audit work is done timely.
  10. Perform other duties assigned by the Coordinator and Director.
