Duties and Responsibilities of the Accountant
- Heads the Accounts section and reports to the Coordinators (Financial Administrator)
- Handles Financial Management and planning
- Keeping
all records of Receipts and Payments, and keep proper books of
Accounts, and preparation of Financial reports - quarterly, semi
annually and annually.
- Preparation of Payroll and payment of salaries and wages.
- Develop
a simple but accurate Financial Administration System which fulfills
the necessities of the programme as well as national and international
standards.
- Recommend to the Coordinator a sound Internal Control System.
- Budgetting and budgetory controll in collaboration with the Coordinator.
- Keeping records of Fixed assets including a Fixed Assets Register.
- Cooperate with both Internal and External Auditors and ensure that Audit work is done timely.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Coordinator and Director.
